I just got back from a preview screening of Men In Black II. Pretty good... I went in with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The trailers we've all seen ad nausium didn't give away as much as I was afraid they had - most of what they show happens in the first 5 minutes of the flick.
Tommy Lee Jones isn't playing as much back seat to Smith in this one, which I think makes the movie a little stronger. They're working off each other rather than Will just bashing Tommy thoughout the pic.
There were fewer subtle jokes in this one, pretty much all over the top.
The story is a little weak and like Spiderman, I was turned off quite a bit by the none to subtle product placements (I guess I can't really complain seeing as how I got in for free because I sell Sprint phones - one of the major sponsors.) Those are my only real complaints.
Over all I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5 (Mags, if you could, convert that into Canadian for "those" people). Give it a shot while it's still in the theater - you'll enjoy it.
Just watch out for the Balchinian.
