At least he is a guy who has had some success in the past. I don't see him being a guy who will be more aggressive than Trgo though.

I want better play. I don't care what the calls are, I want better play. I don't care if we have 7 yard 'cushions'. I don't care if we send four to the quarterback. I want good play. We had that most of the time under Trgovac, but we didn't have enough of it down the stretch in 2008.

I expect Meeks to better the secondary. I expect we'll get younger there but we won't suffer for it like we have here, our growing pains because of guys like Gamble or because of Godfrey. I expect we can replace Lucas well, and field a good secondary.

What I have no idea on? Whether we'll be better stopping the run. The Tampa 2 can struggle with it, especially if you get small, so while I expect we'll run "our" defense and not the T2, it's a bit of a concern. I don't think we'll get small, and I'd expect Fox to put more into the run stopping than any Tampa 2 would. It's just how much of each it'll take, and whether we have enough next year to do it.

If Peppers really leaves then we are going to have to do something about the pass rush or it will not matter how good our secondary is......

Even if Peppers stays we need to address the pass rush or DL in general.

Mags...will the hiring of Meeks affect Peppers' decision to leave in any way? Also, why hasn't Collin been along to comment on this...is there a dungeons and dragons convention in Greenville this week?

Probably not, on Peppers. We don't know, but reports were that Peppers' angst wasn't at Trgovac specifically, and we won't change scheme. Peppers will still have to do awful, awful things like have to play the run and rush the passer from end. Anyone here would. Freeney doesn't and the Colts' rush D suffered a bit from it. Greene didn't here, and with him at end our rush suffered.

I think Collin's in a Molly Ringwald forum arguing that Long Duck Dong isn't a traditional Asian name.

He will immediately turn Chris Harris into Bob Sanders and shrink our defensive linemen to 260 lbs a piece. Bank on it.
