I wish there was a jersey for coaches, so BigMark could profit from this.

Also, I really hope there's no headline about how "the Meeks will inherit the defense"

at least he's served under a former DC and knows what that's like...

how many, if at all, assistants from the colts are available and do we want any of them?

Did Freeney worry about anything but getting to the QB? This this affects Peppers?

No, because Julius Peppers no longer wants to play that position.

hmm. I'll check into that. They just hired their DC, so it's hard to say. I don't know yet who they've fired.

Heh, Rod Perry (we fired him after 2006) is one of them.

Mike Murphy is their LBs coach, and he's been there since before Dungy, so I don't think they make a move there.

They have a CB as a free agent, Kelvin Hayden, that's not bad. The Colts had apparently whispered about franchising him.

FWIW, Herm's defensive staff is all spoken for, other than Krumrie the DL coach (the guy who pissed off Pete Carroll).

i hope this will keep peppers one more year to see how things go! i think gettin rid of the old crapper mike will weight heavily on his decision! if not we NEED to franchise pep and if it comes down to it trade him for some picks! but i can only hope meeks can get pep to reconsider!

Mags or someone else, will the Meeks hire and the way he used Freeney in Indy have any impact in the Panthers keeping Peppers?
