It's being reported in Philly that the Eagles respected McNabb's wishes not to be traded to Oakland or Buffalo. Minnesota had no interest because Favre is almost certain to return. Washington was one of the teams that McNabb was willing to go to. I just wonder if the Panthers even had some discussions with Philly ?

Philly wanted at least a pick in the top 42, reportably, and we don't have that. So I guess no.

I like McNabb, BTW. But I'm not shocked by veteran QB trades. Favre got traded after a Pro Bowl year. Dan Reeves wanted to replace John Elway with Tommy Maddox, the owner just nixed him.

    I sure hope not.

No first round pick, so if we made that deal we'd not get a pick until the third. We'd likely be giving up a cheap talented player under our control for a few years, for an aging, expensive (though talented) QB with one year left on his deal with a lockout looming, and Moore also under a one year deal. We really need to find out what we have there.

It looks like we are going to be the young team full of draft picks that start. I am happy with that. I think we can compete and make the playoffs with this team. The main thing will be whether Moore can keep up his level of play for an entire season. Hopefully all the younger players with fresh legs translates into fewer injuries and the ability to finish strong.

The Eagles seem to be going down the same path we are on. They are one of the more consistently good teams in the league.....

Several dominoes are still to fall in this mess, unless Shanahan (wisely) decides to keep Campbell as the backup.

If not, Jacksonville is reportedly interested, which would presumably put David Garrard on the block. Garrard is another guy, along with Campbell, that I would not mind having on board.

We'll see. It's making an otherwise boring off-season a little more interesting.

Garrard's contract is prohibitive, 8 million dollars is a lot for a QB that isn't special.

they lost 3 NFC Championship games in which they were favored, two of those at home. granted the 03 loss to Carolina was without Westbrook (their offensive mvp) and Emmons (defensive mvp). but its still another big game loss. i think the worst came a year earlier when they lost at home to Tampa. Barber owned McNabb that day. i think AJ Feeley had them on a serious roll down the stretch and into the post season too, after McNabb went down with a knee or something. his first game back and boom, three picks, season over. in the the loss at Arizona, Akers kick-off went outta bounds after the Eagles grabbed the lead late. some may call good field position for Warner and Co. a colapse but not me. that team got red hot late in the year, no question.

    my bad

McNabb did get the start in the 02 playoffs vs. Atlanta. of his 3 turnovers vs. Tampa, 2 were fumbles and one was a pick 6. AJ Feeley took them on a 4-1 run to end the regular season.

His 3 picks were vs. Carolina in '03. They rolled up an impressive 3 points in that big game.

He threw 3 picks vs. Carolina because Greg Favors sat on him.

That, and their WR's sucked dick.

    McNabb is good.
