I used to think Campbell would be a nice addition but he hasn't looked like much to me lately.

He was in a ridiculous track-meet vs. New Orleans where they passed the ball 51 times. He, quietly, threw 3 interceptions in that game, one of which was returned for a TD.

Kansas City was an impressive outing for Kolb. Would have meant more had it not been against the 30th ranked defense in the NFL.

I see absolutely nothing in Kolb that inspires hope, if I'm an Eagles fan. At least, not tonight.

But, you know what, fuck them in their asses.

Not unless Donovan wins one in WASH. That line is garbage, and he has slightly better offensive weapons now than his worst years in Philadelphia. A good to very good defense, but if you get a lockout, WASH is looking at a 36 year old qb that has to be paid like a top five qb. The Front office brass of Philly put themselves into a tough predicament, in that Kolb and Mcnabb, not to mention Vick, were all in the last year of their contracts. I'm still a little shellshocked, b/c its very odd to see a star qb traded within the division, but Washington is going to have to pay him, protect him, and hope they don't lose a year of his playing career with a lockout. Quite a splash for Shanahan. It'll be interesting to see where they go with that 4th pick. I think they need a tackle to replace Sameuls.

we really don't know how good Moore is. I'm not convinced that Campbell is that good at all. If he's cut, go get him, but I wouldn't worry about trading a valuable pick for a guy. And he's just that, nothing more.

Moore will start, and Moore will do what he does. Hopefully, that includes 30-40 hand-offs per game.

Yea, Campbell, has a very nice set of tools. But he doesn't appear to have any higher level of consistency than Moore has shown in a shorter span.

Then again, hasn't Campbell been through like 19 coordinators since High School, or some silly shit?

    I wouldn't go that far.

First off, McNabnb's never been All Pro. Pro Bowl 6 times, but never All Pro. And McNabb's not had a great big game history either.

Kolb needs to be very good, which is what McNabb has been.

Now if McNabb wins a SB in Washington, all bets are off.

he had a ton of OCs and QBs coaches, yeah. You can say he didn't fit the WCO when he did have stability, or that Gibbs wasn't a good fit, so on and so on. I don't know what I've seen him do that was redeeming, but I can see appeal on the idea he's got experience and he was expected to be availble so he's fresh on people's minds.

I'll add that I do think he and Moore are comparable, similar players. Fuck, if either can just be efficient, I'll take that.

I assumed he had been All Pro. I don't understand how he's not.

Point is that it's not going to be good enough for Kolb to have an OK career. He'll need to be a productive, Super Bowl winning quarterback, or the fans will kill everyone in the organization.

McNabb has played well in many big games. He hasn't won a Super Bowl, but it's a fact that 97% of all NFL teams do not win a Super Bowl in a given season. So, the odds, yes, are stacked a bit.

He had a phenomenal second half vs. Arizona in 2008's NFCCG. Had Philly's defense not collapsed, they would have won.

We showed in 2003 that McNabb can be beaten. You just have to have Greg Favors break his ribs.
