and that's the part we don't know. Can he keep it up? When teams start blitzing strongside C gap to take away the rollouts, when they start bringing more in his face or zoneblitzing him, can he keep that up?

You certainly hope so, but even with that, and him being RFA, you would probably have to prepare with another QB.

I agree that doing it for a handful of games is not the same as doing it for a whole season. I just wanted to point out how well he has played so far. Honestly if he can keep his rating in the mid 80s next year that should be enough for us to win a lot of games.

What I still don't get is the Delhomme pimping and the Moore dismissing from Darin Gantt.

Both in print and on the radio, the guy acts like what Moore is doing is inconsequential and that Delhomme is somehow going to magically revert to the QB he was 6 years ago.

I don't know how a guy that is supposed to be observant can't see what's happened in front of him for the last two seasons.

I'm not proclaiming that Matt Moore is the next Tom Brady, but to say that Delhomme when healthy is a better QB than what Moore has been the last month is completely off base.

Gantt has always been an idiot, always will be. Thats all that you need to know. Maybe it's on purpose to get people to debate him on his blog thing but he's an idiot.

Actually, for once, Gantt's article wasn't that off. He didn't really say "Jake's still the guy, Moore sucks." He said lets let him prove it.

I'm in Moore's corner like many. It would be a mistake to annoint him the franchise QB. He still has enough to prove before we give him a contract even beffitting a top journeyman. He still needs to show he can complete comebacks, to throw when the run does get shut down, and adjust to the adjustments.

I have, however, seen enough to make me want to see more of Moore. I'd like to see him get his shot at doing the above.

Jake's going to be 35 next month. It's time to transition to someone.

Gantt is probably just mad because Moore made Moose look good once or twice..........

35 year old QBs who are struggling after Tommy John surgery are not a safe bet. Of course Moore is not a lock to be any good either but so far so good with him. I would definitely try to retain him. It would be nice to go into next year with a guy like Bulger or Hassleback as a backup for Moore. I figure it will be Jake backing him up though.

Hasselbeck is entering Delhomme territory the last two games.
