    Looks pretty good to me. Gets hit, he doesn't fumble the ball. No one open, he remembers to throw the ball away. Rush gets heavy, he knows how to move around in the pocket. Need a pass completion, he doesn't zero in on Smith as he walks away from the huddle and then try to force it in to 2-3 defenders. I know he's not always going to look this good but jake lookedbad almost every game. If he's not the starting QB going into training camp Fox needs mental help.

    I think Jake needs to go regardless of cap hit. It will prevent any kind of qb controversy, as unlikely as that seems.

    Moore, Mccown, rookie? cantwell?

    I think I read Jake said he'd retire before sitting on the bench. I imagine we'll find out if he has saved enough jack to get by on.

    Jake's done some great things for the Panthers and led them to some great moments. His body has betrayed him and he can't play QB at the high level he used to. While he isn't the QB he once was, but we can still appreciate and thank him for the great years he's given us in the past as we move on in the present and to the future.

    Moore's rating for this year is 98.9. That is tied with Ben Rothelisberger for seventh in the league, if he had enough attempts.

    Colin Cowherd did an interview on his show today. He was talking to Mark Thomas from WCMC about Matt Moore.

    CC: What's the future at Quarterback for Carolina?

    MT: We talked to John Fox, John Fox loves this kid (Matt Moore), loves his poise, loves his presence, he loves his ability to work this offense. They just need a quarterback. They feel like Matt Moore is that guy. He really acts like he is going to be the guy going into next year.
