I'm not comparing Gettis or Lafell to any Pro Bowl caliber WR. Unless you know of any #2 WR in the NFC south that are Pro Bowlers. There is nothing outrageous about saying they are on par with other #2 WR in our division, in fact it wouldn't be outrageous to say they are better than most #2 WRs in our division.

 

heh, don't knock it. It's still enough to continually resurrect this board from stone cold death . .. however over the years it seems less and less entertaining and more and more pointless to me. Most of the time i just give all that crap the old skim job, unless I'm completely bored off my ass. . .. which is still all too often, sadly

 

You said "conference," not division. And yes, it's incredibly fucking retarded to say that Gettis or LaFell are on par with Julio Jones or Lance Moore, much less better. It's idiotic. It makes you look like you know nothing whatsoever about the NFL.

 

Yeah Julio Jones is fuckin awesome, to bad he hasn't done shit in the NFL! Dwayne Jerrett was awesome in college too, but that doesn't mean shit. The only idiot is you. You really think Lance Moore would put up those numbers with Clausen as his QB. I put out facts, you put out nothing-just managing to twist every word I typed to suit your point. I miss spoke and said "conference" instead of "division", only in the next sentence to refer to the NFC south. Truth is, the jury is still out on Gettis and Lafell, but no more than Julio Jones. So far they have shown flashes of what they can be, and now in a different offense with more weapons logic says they'll be better.

 

Dude, we have no idea what kind of receivers Gettis and LaFell are going to be. Way too early to write either one of them off. Way too early.
Fact is, Smitty's gonna want the ball, we have young QBs, and a strong run game. They're not going to have huge numbers. But if they make some big plays and keep the numbers they had last year while resurrecting the TEs in the passing game, Smitty's #s, and the run game, I'll consider it a fucking COUP!
