I just finished the regular season and Thomas Davis and Evan Mathis were both named to the pro bowl as rookies. Peppers had 17 sacks. I just thought it was cool.

This version is the best yet. The new passing controls are phenomenal, and the graphics have been improved as well. Meanwhile the superstar mode may be a little lacking, but I do like the fact that I got lucky enough to create a rookie who was the best QB in the NFL by his second season (parents had an IQ average of 140, dad was a Hall of Fame QB, mom was an Olympic sprinter).

Do you mean adding points to players? That shit's easy, except for som eof the qb stuff.

    I skip the kicking.

I'm right there with you. The thing is that I am pretty sure this would cause more problems than it is worth.

Panthers strong safety Mike Minter walked into the Wofford College student life center Tuesday and eagerly called the media contingent together.

“This is the Madden 2006 championship belt. I am the champion,” Minter declared as he pointed to a long white towel draped over his shoulder, folded lengthwise in thirds in the shape of a boxing championship belt. On the front of the towel was a cutout of the Madden 2006 video game cover.

Many Carolina players regularly compete against one another in computer games to help pass the time at training camp, and one of their all-time favorites are the Madden football games.

Until Tuesday, Minter had never been considered one of the better players, but he defeated teammates Mike Rucker, Brentson Buckner and Al Wallace in succession before crushing Julius Peppers 21-0 in the finals of the tournament to take home the belt.

“Julius quit in the third quarter,” Minter said. “He was pretty sick. He left and shut the door and went to sleep a sad man. But I was a happy man.”

It turns out Minter’s former real life teammate, tight end Jermaine Wiggins, caught two touchdown passes to lead his Minnesota Vikings over Peppers’ Atlanta Falcons.

“Michael Vick got shut down,” Minter bragged.

Minter may not have the championship belt for long, though. Turns out the rule is you have 24 hours before you must defend your title.

“I will hold to it for two of three weeks, then maybe retire (from playing Madden 2006),” Minter joked.

OH BOY!! They're at it again.....

Panther players wasting valuable time playing Madden 06!!!!!

Hey....they could be in the weight room!

Hey.....they could be studying their playbooks!

At least that's what some here are thinking, I am sure.
