If Lucas is bringing this up in team meetings and to the coaches, that's great. Him repeatedly bringing it up the media, on the other hand, is extremely disruptive and will cause problems in the locker room. As such, "'tis not a thing to rejoice at."

Yeah. They're still full of shit. Minter, I think, might be the crown price of bullshit.

It's nice to hear it from Lucas now. You're right about it likely being bad, but i like it now. I'm glad they're hearing it.

maybe Lucas is airing it out in the media so his teammates will step it up. if they want him to shut up, they need to step it up. I dont think keeping everything in house is always the best thing. these guys need to feel the pressure to perform every now and again. its easy for them to get up for New England , or MNF.

It's not like he's calling anybody out. He said they aren't playing up to their potential as a defense. That's about the most obvious thing going on with this team.

Agreed, maybe it's not perfect him doing this, but it can't get much worse. Outside of Lucas and Spoon we haven't had much of a D.

He said the D as a whole, he didn't pull a TO and say something about McNabb. IMO, there is a big difference there.

If the media intereviews players, they always ask what went wrong or right, well that is all he is doing. IF THE TEAM doesn't like the answers, then they need to do something about it.

Sure some players may get mad at him, but he's bringing it on the field every down. He's put out a challenge and they can react in an adult way and step up to the challenge or they can whine about it, be mad at him and continue to slop through a disappointing season. Honestly, I don't like the fact that anyone ever needs a challenge or chewing out to be the best they can be. I don't make millions and I still go in every day and do the best I can at work because otherwise how do I have any self respect? Same should be true of millionaire athletes - at the end of every day can you look in the mirror and honestly say I gave it my best? If not, SHAME ON YOU.

Strange that a former Seattle Seahawk is the only starter on the defensive roster that knows how to think and play like a champion.

Ken Lucas is the man. :headbang: I'm liking him more and more every week. Easily the best FA acquisition since Stephen Davis, and if he continues what he's doing, could end up being one of the best we've ever had.

Everything he says is dead-on. You want guys who are accountable, and won't settle for average.

And I'm not sure exactly what is he "giving" to the media, because we've seen it ourselves. We saw the argueing during the New England game. We've seen them play as an average defense in all four games.

I give his attitude an A+, and his ability worthy of every freggin' cent paid.
