    I'm sure that'll be the line. Whether it happens or not I don't know, but he'll have to cut the mistakes either way. We do like some younger guys and need one more to add to the mix.

    - The Panthers saved $2.375 in salary cap room. Lucas was scheduled to count $10.0705 million in cap space, but now will count $8.33 million. That's the remaining acceleration balance of his previously-paid signing bonuses and guaranteed pay.



    If that's correct... explain

    Seems like Marshall hasn't been quite as bad playing on the outside. It's amazing how a guy can have such an awful year as a nickle, and get promoted to starter the next season.

    Marshall has always impressed me outside. He just looked fucking lost at NB last year.

    I think he's just better at playing zone and using the sideline as a defender, rather than being on a guy inside and having cover more of the field. If you simplify things for him, he seems to play better. I don't feel great about him starting, but I feel better about getting a new nickle.
