Is going to Denver. Just saw it on ESPNews. Said he wants to play with a Super Bowl Contender and good place for his family.

This opinion might get me jumped on, but from my perspective John Lynch is a shining example of what reputation and winning gets you. Imho Mike Minter is every bit the safety that Lynch is, and at this point in time, I would take Minter over Lynch on my team hands down. Look at the last 3 years:

    Lynch Tackles: 72-64-87
    Minter Tackles: 89-82-78

    Lynch Interceptions: 2-3-3
    Minter Interceptions: 3-4-2

    Lynch PD's: 8-9-8
    Minter PD's: 8-9-10

On a side note of while not very important, interesting stats, John Lynch has not scored a touchdown in his 11 year career while Minter has 4 touchdowns in his 7 year career.

I am not saying Lynch is overrated, I am just saying that imho Mike Minter has played at that same level as Lynch for the last few years, and deserves more notice than he gets.

No one is going to jump on you because you are 110% correct, Lynch isn't that great and I'm glad we have After-Dinner Minter instead.

Wouldn't mind Lynch as a FS though. He's been around and knows the game so well. Lynch and Minter roaming around...every WR in the league would be "Randy Moss-ing" when playing the Panthers.

Two strong safeties would make us weak in coverage. It is hard to hit what you can't catch.

    Agreed.
Lynch was obviously very good for TB. He was also their slowest back 7 player. He'll work out in Denver's scheme for a year or two, I guess.

I think we really exposed the Tampon secondary in the game in Charlotte last year and perhaps that has led to his release from the sucks. I remember Lynch in particular getting burned badly on one play.

    Kinda hate he left tampon.
