Nest | The Learning Thermostat | Home

Pretty cool product from the guy that brought us the iPod.

Auto-Schedule-Nest remembers the temperatures you like and programs itself

Auto-Away-Nest saves energy by automatically turning itself down when you're away

Airwave - Automatically cuts up to 30% of your AC's runtime if your home isn't too humid

Remote control - Connect Nest to Wi-Fi to control it from your smartphone, laptop or tablet

Simple to use - Most homeowners install Nest themselves in less than 30 minutes. After that, it's just a matter of changing the temperature

that looks pretty sweet and it's compatible with 4-wire heat/ac systems so i might give it a shot.

From what I've been reading, it has issues with extreme cases where there are variable weather conditions.

IE. When you get mild days, say 75 for weeks, and Nest is learning that and sets it for 75, then you get a stretch of weather of 95-100 degree temps, it does really account for that.
