I was thinking about this today watching all the black guys running around with the "Predator-do" hanging down a good foot out of their helmet.

If one of these guys is running back a punt and a defensive player grabs two fists full of hair and yanks his ass around and down to the ground -- would that be a penalty?

Even if it is - I sure would like to see it :ylsuper:

I suspect it would fall under "Personal Foul - Unnecesary Roughness," but I'm just guessing.

It counts as part of the player's uniform. I remember Ricky Williams bitching about it a while back.

yeah, it would be worth the 15 yards though. I'd pay extra to see that shit, especially if the recipient was Mike FuckinMcKenzie.

No, a few years ago Ricky Williams tried to urge the league to call penalties for that but they said it's not uniform so it's part of the player and fair game.

Yeah, I remember that being talked about a couple years ago on MNF, I think. It came up with McKenzie when he was with Green Bay and ran back an interception or something. It's fair game to grab the hair, or at least it was back then. I wonder if the new horse-collar rule has any effect on this.
