    Chris Draft

He is a bit small but obviously can play. Davis is about his size

    NFL stats

    Brandon Short

He has good size and you would think he would play inside but we do not seem to want to use him there

    NFL stats

    Vinny Ciurciu

He is smallish and an underdog you want to root for but probably not talented enough to ever start

    NFL stats

    Bryan Knight

Didn't he used to drive a black Transam?

    NFL stats

    Jason Kyle

    Mr. Long Snapper

    NFL stats

    Dan Morgan

Played in 12 games last year, which was a career high for him

    NFL stats

    Sean Tufts

Seemed like a nice kid when I met him at training camp last year, probably camp fodder now though

    NFL stats

    Will Witherspoon

Probaby our best player at linebacker and the guy we should lock up long term

    NFL stats

    Thomas Davis

I guess we should throw him in the mix since he might play at linebacker.

    more info

    Jessie Armstead

He may not be back with us this year but he is an option

    NFL stats

    Adam Seward

Rookie fifth rounder this year. Seems to have some potential based on draft reports

Wouldn't be shocked to see us get in on the running for Chad Brown or Anthony Simmons.

Better hurry and have some cash on hand for Cbrown. He's a good one.

Chad Brown was really good in his Pittsburgh days but I am sure he has lost a step or two since then.

I look for us to go with what we have. I do not see us trying to sign a high dollar free agent.

Agree. Some reporter said the Panthers were preparing to move on without Fields a week or so ago. They must have been reading Fields actions somehow. I bet signing Draft was their reaction already.

I hope they put Davis in the place where he will be best for his career. (If you can tell that this early.) If that's LB, then that answers our question.

If Davis is a S, I bet its between Draft and Short, although moving Morgan there might be a good idea.

Something tells me this news was not a surprise to the Panthers brass. IF he was thought to be healthy why sign Draft and draft Davis AND Seward. By the way, this could give So Car OLB Marcus Lawrence, who was a great rookie FA pickup, a shot at making the 53-man roster. Especially if we discover Thomas Davis is more of a S than a LB.

If Chad Brown wanted to be a Panther, he had his chance. No reason to go back there four years later imo.
