nobody is gonna trade for Peppers, the same exact questions you have about him...well the rest of the league does too, and it's not your $16m and #2 overall to give up for a "hope he's ok."

A team acquiring Pep is not on the hook for a $16mm cap hit......just the salary portion. We keep any prorated bonus.

If I were a potential aquiring team I'd be more concerned about getting him extended than the cap hit next year.

Since St Louis has been having a hard on for Jenkins trade him to the Rams for a flip flop of 1st and we get another pick later on. We draft Jake Long, and resign Gross while letting Wharton walk

it'd take more points (1450) than our pick is worth (1150) to get to 2 (2600). I don't think jenkins is worth the 7th overall pick.

Our 1 and 2 gets us to 6th, and as equivalent, if you decided Jenkins was worth a 2 you could keep a 2 and go to the 6 pick with Jenx; using all 3 gets you to 4. And, that's assuming you value him as a 2nd mid-round, may be more or less.

    Agreed. :kid:

I think odds are low we could draft a qb in any round and expect them to do what Moore did. It doesn't happen much - regardless of what round they got picked in.

I'm not comfortable with the young QB's this franchise has picked - except Moore and he fell into their lap. I don't trust them to do it again.

If Softi is gone in St Louis you have to wonder if that about kills major interest in our guys for them.

Probably so. I pick a WR with 13, since I'm not crazy about the DEs and OTs available.

13 Vernon Gholston DE Ohio State.

Really underrated here. He ate up Jake Long. I thought about Baker, we do need a tackle now, but he's kind of another Gross. I want some more power.

    45. Jeff Otah OT Pitt

Big athletic 340 lber. Right what we need.

    74. Josh Barrett S AZ State

Ended up the season hurt, but was a leader with lots of range.

    108 Matt Forte RB Tulane

Leads the collegiate ranks in rushing with over 2000 yards. A bigger back to replace Foster.

    189. BJ Raji DT Boston College We may need some DT depth.

    13 - Derrick Harvey* DE Florida 6.03 260
    45 - Jeff Otah OT Pitt 6.06 340
    74 - Kirk Barton OT Ohio St. 6.05 312
    108 - Wallace Gilberry DE Alabama 6.03 265
    189 - Kerry Brown OG App St. 6.06 300

Rebuild the O-line, time to dump Gross or Wharton ad find a better OG opposite Wahle. I am OK with our DT's and the way we rotate them, but we gotta replace Rucker and get someone that can step in and play some downs in relief...didn't think we'd miss Wallace as much as we did.
