Most people say "YES!," but I say no thank you. I see White as solid, but not a game-changer and therefore not substantially different from other solid guys who will be available much later in the draft.

not sure how high he will go. He himself may be a 2nd/3rd rounder. I'd say probably 2nd at this point because he had some off field problems in the past.

You can forget it. He'll be long gone by the time we pick, unless he pulls a Clarett (either off the field or at the 40 @ combine).

I don't look for White to have a sexy 40 time. He may not even run it at the combine. I probably wouldn't if I was him.

    1. I wouldnt either - the combo is an opportunity for workout junkies who cant play to increase their stock. For everyone else, it's a potential landmine.

    2. I dont give a rat's ass about how fast White runs. It's his tendency to barrel through heaps of defenders like a derailed freight train that gives me wood as a fan. The guy is a fast moving wrecking ball. "Running downhill" as a cliche doesnt do him justice.

I know that Hershel Dennis - the starter ahead of White and Bush a couple years back - had problems off the field but I hadn't heard anything about White. I predict White goes in the top half of the first round and runs a sub 4.5 40.

He usually ranked in the 20s of the first round. I love him as a RB. I'm reading there may be character issues. Game changer? Maybe not. Game controller so Smitty can change the game? Maybe so. We'll see.

A Packers source told The Post that the club is already enamored with USC running back LenDale White and that he would certainly not make it past Green Bay, which has the fifth pick in the upcoming draft.
    -- New York Post

Perhaps this strategy is why the Packers suck ass.

you're not going to find an elite back who can both run that hard inside and be a game-breaker outside in the 20s unless you're frightfully lucky. White is enough to be our feature back, it just depends on whether the team finds him a fit and whether they're after that type back at that point in time.
