Anyone hear this interview? I think we should pass on him if he's still available. It's weird, but he sounds just like Randy Moss...

Call me crazy...but I wasn't impressed by him either....I was more impressed with Chris Simms...so I woul go Gross in the first and Simms in the second...

    Here comes the backlash...watch out!!!

    Fuck dat.

Gimmie Leftwich and Ben Johnson or Stitchbcomb or Hunter or Pashos.

I know Leftwich is worlds better than Simms, but how much better is Gross than those guys???

Leftwich and one of dose guys would be sweet.

All I know is....there is very little success rate for qb's in the first round....all I keep thinking about was our very first draft...we took Collins over Boselli. While both are not impact players...Boselli would have been a better pic for us. Remember Montana was taken in the third.

We have a qb in Jake...now protect him and let our DEFENSE win a championship for us.

Think about the last three super bowl champioin qb's....Johnson, Brady, and Dilfer...not first rounders in my book. I like Lefty and Palmer...but there has never been a qb in the history of the game to carry a team to a championship.

No matter who we take...they are not going to start...nor should they. I say take a QB in the second...or maybe even later.

I could care less how well he interviews, he's a GREAT college QB who should be a GREAT nfl QB. Dan Morgan and Julius Peppers don't exactly sound like the smartest guys either and they both turned out fine.

you know what is sad? In 1995 we had 3 first round picks and a very high second round pick.

We waste all four of those picks... not ONE of them worked out for us -

Collins - Quit and was cut; got nothing for him
Poole - Was cut (or was he traded?) I think he was cut or not resigned...
Brockermeyer - Left via free agency
    King - Cut, drug problem.

Had just ONE of those guys worked out we'd be in good shape right now...

I have a feeling the Panthers feel the same way you do guy. Personally I think this team is better off with Leftwich than with Gross in 2 to 3 yrs but it irrelevent what I think.

And sure, Gross is a dominant blocker and to get the best OT in any draft is nice. I don't think I'm gonna cry whoever it is in round 1. I might cry about Simms in round 2 doe! :D

Lefty is a good college quarterback...but so was Rick Mirer....remember that whole competition between him and Bledsoe....or the one between Manning and that other loser from Washington St...

You just never know...and I think you build a team. I believe the Panthers brought in Jake D to run the show until a young qb develops.

Hell....if you don't want to go Gross...take a wr or db. I am just uneasy about QB.

The reality of it all is...we probably won't have a shot at either Lefty or Palmer.
