If you can hold out for another year, Segway is rolling out a new model next summer that has a mower attachment. It comes with a 36", 42" or 50" deck. I saw it at a trade show and it whips fucking ass.

PS Murray went out of business. But don't let that stop you.

I actually saw a Roses last week. Of course I was in the BFE western Virginian mountains. Had no idea Roses still existed.

Got 1 a couple miles from my house in western NC.

To the original question, I wouldn't go with the large wheels on a craftsman. I had their gold model a few years ago with the large wheels. It kept breaking the axel type pins off. They told me it was because I overloaded the bagger. I dumped it and bought a Honda. No problems (yet-knock on wood).

I just got a new consumer report guide and they rated the new self propelled mowers. The Honda's were #1 but cost 700 bucks. The Toro was a very close second at 500 bucks. Lawn Boy was third{Lawn Boy is now made by Toro }.$480. If you want a mower that is reliable Troy-built is #1 with Honda and Toro a close second. The top 13 mowers were all rear driven with the front drive Toro at # 14. Like I said earlier the only reason I prefer a front drive is because you can push down on the handle and turn them a lot easier than the rear drives. The Craftsman model#37058 rated very well and cost only $340. Overall they recomended the Toro's models # 20076-$460 and #20073,$370 as the best buys.

Nothing runs like a Deere. self propelled walk behind w/ the kawasaki engine.

the only thing better is a J-D tractor.

i've had both and had no complaints.

My dad gave me his used Craftsman mower when I bought my house about 5 years ago. I've been abusing it, hoping it would die so I could upgrade, but that thing just keeps on going. Honestly, it's a very decent mower, even if it's not what I really want.
