Listed as inactive for the Jacksonville game were: Weinke, Hampton, Willig, Reyes, Baker, Young, Moorehead, and Rasmussen. Any Observations or Comments?

I was a little surprised at Moorehead. Once he got over the spider bite, he played well. We left ourselves with only Burton as a sub at DT. Also the receivers, with Baker and Young inactive that means Hankton was our #4 receiver. I don't remember if he got any field time at receiver and I assume the choice there was simply special teams. With Smiths' punt returns, I don't see Baker getting any time unless there is an injury. Colin Branch was active and had 2 special teams tackles. I do not remember them, but that is a good start for Branch.

it makes sense not to activate Hampton. But keep Brzezinski and Nelson both, but not Willig? If we have an injury, we're playing a center at tackle. And why keep 9 DL if you're going to deactivate two?

    Yeah

    Willig is hurt (foot)

I'd like to see either Baker or Young active.

Most notably - he recovered a Foster fumble . . . remember before Foster got hurt what most of us were worried about with him???

I might be wrong, was it Smith's fumble that Hankton recovered? Both Foster and Smith need to work on keeping the ball tucked and tight.

Smith recovered his own fumble. It was Foster's Hank fell on.

They've never activated more than 7 that I can remember. I think this is standard leaguewide. You just can't activate more without really hurting yourself at another position. They want to keep guys because OL are always getting injured. If you can't plug in someone decent there is no way to compensate. Plus I think some of them will develop.

I think Willig had a sprained ankle.

Someone chime in on the rule here, but based on the NFL.com gamebook, that fumble by Foster on the toss from Delhomme is actually recorded as a fumble by Delhomme and a Foster fumble recovery.......a little strange I think.

Also, I was impressed with what I saw from Foster and at this point I am not concerned he will have a fumbling problem.
