    Brown's Next Stop Golden State?
May 15 - Newsday reports that Golden State has emerged as a possible landing spot for Larry Brown, if he is fired or reaches a buyout with the Knicks.
According to the newspaper, speculation has centered on Sacramento, however a person close to Brown said that Golden State is more likely to be Brown's next stop. The Warriors are owned by Brown's neighbor, Chris Cohan.

Not sure I get the draw of LB. I really don't think he is that great a coach anymore. Frankly, being a coach in the NBA has to be a joke to begin with.

I can remember the Alan Bristowe's day with the Hornets. (Remember them?) He would screem until he was red in the face at the team. (It was great to have floor seats.) No one would pay him any attention. (Of course he wasn't much of a coach.) But whatever LJ said the team would do.

I think Brown's health maybe too much of a question for a head coaching job. Maybe some place in the front office?

the Knicks are the only team he has never won with. his age, health, and ability to never stay in one place will not stop some team from hiring him.

I will say this, the man is getting paid. consider over the past two years

6 million for last his season in Detroit
    7 million buyout from Detroit
11 million last year from Knicks
    -----
    24 million

40 million more from the Knicks if they dump him. said he plans on coaching next year(read:Im stubborn and you are going to pay out the ass to get rid of me)

I was listening to ESPN radio this morning and their NBA "expert" was saying that all of the postering by Browns agent was to drive up the bye out. Brown still wants to coach after this mess. If he holds to the 40 million figure the Knicks will just make him a consultant for the remaining 4 years keeping him from coaching. he would be 69 by the time the contract ends. That and the Knicks have an insurance policy on Brown concerning his health. If Brown doesn't coach the entire lenght of the contract they get back a portion of the contract. They will use his health against him in the buy out. That's why when it's all said and done Brown will not get the full 40 mil so he can get out of the remaining 4 years and coach..... probably Golden State. HE doesn't want to end his coaching career this way. How Isiah Thomas is getting out of all this unscathed is beyond me. He was a great player but probably one of the worst front office/coaches in history
