tough, LB will be gone at the end of the year so do you fire him now, and what, keep his staff? or does someone already there take over and keep th e same system=same results

or do you make a trade to salvage something of this season-to keep lb happy, knowing he wont be here next year. then you leave a mess for the next coach to wade through

I think part of the problem with the team is that it is built to be an 8 seed. Looking at our roster, we don't have much in terms of young talent that we can build around. Other than Tyrus Thomas, I don't see anyone that I'd be really excited to be here long term. I wouldn't mind Gerald finishing his career here, but if he's what we've got to trade to get value then I'm for it.

It just doesn't look like there's any long term plan in place right now, and the short term plan has gone to hell. So where does that leave us?

Probably in the basement for quite a while. Why would anyone go to see this team play?

They were playing pretty well at the end of last season. I can not believe that Felton made that much difference.

I would imagine some. There is certainly a numbers difference, but I would think more of the style difference between the two players being a factor as well.

I was looking on ESPN at where they list a PER (player efficiency rating) and Thomas ranks at 17th in the league (LB should be riding this horse), the next Charlotte player listed is Mohammed at fricken #72. Wallace is 115, which I am sure was a lot higher last year when he used to be a beast. When you look at the list, you can certainly see where players you think can do this or that actually rank in their overall performance.

Felton ranks #42 on the list and DJ ranks #117 this year, so yep, that's a huge difference.

I don't think that it was Felton specifically, but I think D.J. is not playing at a level where our starting point guard needs to be. That's a huge problem for this team.

I think felton is the same player he always has been, but he was slowed down in LB system vs danton'i system. look at how Nash thrived in it.

Felton is much better than DJ but he's still not the answer. He was a -33 against the Heat when they focused on taking him out of the game.

We all saw what Jameer Nelson did to him last year. It's not a fluke. He has really good numbers right now but like QC said that's more attributable to the dantoni system imo.

He's still a hell of a lot better than DJ.

There were some loud boos tonight in the fourth, first home game where there was some serious boo birds. Think the fans are restless and aren't seeing the effort.

I think they went into the 4th with a 1 point and ended up losing by 18. I guess that might explain the booing.
