Allen is going to be an 8-10 year player in the league, probably as a backup. He has shown enough flashes to believe that he could be coached up into a starter, but he'll need an OC who plays to his strengths better for that to happen. After yesterday's shit-show, Norv clearly isn't that.

TBR is as close to social media as I want to get. I get pressured a lot to be more online accessible, but I like my solitude.
I don`t feel cheated or out of touch.
My house is a drama free zone and I like it that way.
I don`t have enough hair left to pull out over useless shit I can`t control.

It looks like the team severly overestimates what they have in Allen. That's my generous assessment of what happened yesterday.

I agree with Bellington. He's probably a decent backup quarterback who shouldn't be throwing the ball more than 30 times in any game.

By the way, Washington passed the ball 25 times, ran it 30 times.

On the road, in a 14–0 hole.

Carolina played with the lead, and threw the ball nearly 46 times.

19 pass attempts in the first half. All with the lead.

Kyle Allen is fine. He's had ups and downs like any inexperienced quarterback, but he's shown enough for me to think he's a low end starter. I obviously want Cam back but the fans calling for Grier are out of their minds. I almost wish the Panthers would play Grier so that fans would see what terrible quarterback play looks like and maybe they'd get off of Allen's back.

By the 2nd time Grier had play time, I turned to my my husband and said "has he EVER played football before?"

Yet the Panthers` scouting department thought he was worth a relatively high draft pick. No wonder they got fired.

The GM is always the one who makes those calls. Scouts give input so the GM knows who to look at, but it's pretty rare for any NFL scout to have enough pull that they get someone picked. I'm pretty confident that Grier's Charlotte connection and how gung-ho that made the fans about him was the biggest factor in selecting him.
