When is the last time you saw Cam do all that?

 

I can't remember. 2015 seams like a lifetime ago, if that's when. Maybe since, but the team hasn't been all that since then either. And I'd wager if there's one or more, he was diggin us out of a hole he helped dig. Which is fine, btw.


I should add, I'm not hating on cam. He also can't help it if he's not 100% healthy and that his oline hasn't been all that great most of the time he's been here.

 

I think Allen is going to have a bad game sometime within the next few weeks, we're gonna lose, and all the talk will pivot to, "...where the hell is cam...we need him..."

 

It’s been a while, but I *have* seen him do it. That counts for something.

Cam or Allen, win or lose . ..
This should be the most telling and important game for Carolina in a long time.
Regardless of who is playing behind center we are going to find out a lot.
Personally if Cam is healthy i hope that BOTH he and Allen are used in various packages. Shit i wouldn’t mind seeing CMC in wildcat a few times.

I'm all for riding out the hot hand, but for what it's worth:

1. Cam has only been as good as he could run through defenses
2. He's always thrown off of his back foot, and consistently overthrown receivers
3. He throws 15 foot passes 100mph
4. His clock management has always been pretty bad

I don't hold any hope that Kyle Allen will become an all-star qb, but five games into his career, I haven't seen the same weaknesses that Cam has.

FWIW, the past four games it looks to me like the Panthers are more of a 'team'. Maybe it's just my perception, but it helps that Kyle Allen hasn't shown up to any pressers wearing his mom's clothes.
