Kurt Warner and Other Vet QB's Looking to Start

Warner may or may not have some good mileage left on him. He clearly believes he can be a successful starter. I don't think you could tell from his stay with the Giants what he has left because he got abused so bad at the hands of the porous offensive line. The thing is, if he wants to be successful starter, I think he's going about it wrong. He's looking at teams like Arizona and the Bears. The logic is that these are teams where he's as good or better than the starters and can compete for the job. The thing is, those teams suck, and a qood QB is not going to make them a contender, plus they've got young QBs that they hope wil be their future. If he starts in those places, he's going to not only be viewed as "temporary", but he's going to look bad when he plays because those teams suck. Warner and other older QBs who think they're still good enough would be smartest to go to the best team they can get on as a backup to another veteran QB. Odds favor QB's getting injured and missing games these days. If he's on a contender and their QB goes down, he can come in and be a hero and look good and either finish a successful season as the starter for the injured guy or create a QB controversy.
