Once again, yours truly headed to Uptown to check out the FOOD LION SPEED STREET Festival, which had been moved down further to South Tryon Street to better connect to the new NASCAR Hall of Fame which just opened. Lots of sights and sounds with lots of free stuff to be handed out by vendors (my goodie bag had runneth over by the time I left !!!!!!)

2010 HEREOS Convention (6/5/10)







































For the first time, I decided to check out the HEREOS Convention at the Convention Center here in the QC . . . Im not a big comic books person, but I still had a cool time checking out a lot of the artists/authors of the Comic Book trade and some of their works. Plus, I saw Mick Foley there as well . . . Yeeehawww !!!!!

4th of July at Carowinds

Went with my cousin and little nephew to CAROWINDWS on 7/4 . . . The lines weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be . . . I mean, I could've ridden THUNDER ROAD several times in a row if I wanted to (the lines for that ride were non-existent basically). It was good heading out there to check out the new INTIIMIDATOR Coaster, which is good as advertised !!!!! Its easily one of my top 3 favorite coasters of all time (LOCH NESS MONSTER at Busch Gardens-Virginia tops my list).



I think my little cousin is going to be a coaster fanatic when he gets older; He was itching to get on the bigger coasters as we went thru the park. He'll probably be ready to ride the big rides in another 1-2 years !!!

Panthers vs. Jets (8/21/10)

Went to my first Panthers game in 2 years this past Saturday night . . . They took on Mark Sanchez & The Jets . . . Panthers lost 9-3 . . . Grrrrrrhhhhhh, talk about a snooze fest >:-( >:-( !!!!!

Checked out the battle of the QC at BoA Stadium on Sunday . . . Panthers vs. Bengals . . . . Jimmy Clausen started as the Panthers QB for the 1st time . . . Home team lost 20-7 (too many turnovers, only 1 good quarter for the Panthers, etc.) . . . . John Fox & Marty Hurney need to start checking moving van rates with MAYFLOWER and UNITED now IMHO >:-( !!!!!

Mint Museum of Art Uptown-Grand Opening (10/2/10)

Headed Uptown this afternoon to check out the new Mint Museum of Art . . . Nice big building with lots of cool exhibits . . . I would've loved to have taken every photograph from the Ansel Adams gallery that was on display if I could !!!!!
