    what a bunch of sucky QB's....I thought Harrington was released or got out of his contract last week?


    Lions Sign Another QB


    (March 14, 2006)--According to the agent for Jon Kitna, the veteran quarterback has reached a tentative contract agreement with the Detroit Lions.

    The 33-year-old Kitna is a nine-year veteran who spent the past five seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He started his career with the Seattle Seahawks.

    He visited the team's practice facility in suburban Detroit on Saturday, meeting with new head coach Rod Marinelli, offensive coordinator Mike Martz and team president Matt Millen.

    Detroit has been looking for a veteran backup for Joey Harrington. The Lions signed Shaun King to a one-year contract earlier this off-season.

    Kitna ought to be the starter there if they do not find someone better. Harrington just needs to go.

    Kitna must have thought it’d be easier to beat out Harrington than a gimp armed Pennington.

    Sean king is a training camp arm…I liked the move to sign him, usually the training camp QB is some kid right out of college that has no idea what he is doing.

    Why on earth didnt Martz bring in Brees or Culpepper?

    Harrington, Kitna and King???:woohoo:

    Way to make people believe.

    They should trade up for Leinert since nobody else seems to want him.

    Kitna will be the starter by Noon tomorrow...or today, depending on when your read this...then again I suppose it could be yesterday...or a week ago...you heard it here first...unless you didn't?
