I'm just kinda trying to read Fox's mind on the first round pick. We have in the past 2 years gone 4 deep in the RB depth to maintain our running game, so I would expect him to draft a RB in this draft; just not in the first round. A first rounder to compete with Shelton before we give him a chance doesn't strike me as Fox like. Also a first rounder would essentially be competing with Foster, which I think would be showing a lack of confidence in Foster. How Foster performs this year will clearify that situation.

Since the safety Bing, whom Fox seems to be interested in, is not a fiirst rounder, I would think a OLB the most likely first round pick. He has left that position open for high competition.

Dude, you can't lie about things you yourself have said, and you said "he'll not see that much of this money."
And again, it's not right for you to lie about what I've said whenever you're getting destroyed in an argument. I never said that we didn't have two starters. In fact, I made it clear that we have continuously had to bring in multiple options because we've never had one guy we felt comfortable with. The argument is about your ridiculous statement that we will "always need at least two, really. pass-first or run-first, our backs take a beating, because we'll always be running at the end of games."
This is why I call you a coward, because you are one and you lie every time you're losing an argument. I never said that Foster was "some project," I said that Lamar Smith was brought in to be a short-term starter while the team pursued a long-term option. And guess what? Smith was a short-term starter while Foster was viewed as the long-term option.
Oh, I thought that was clear here:
"Veteran Lamar Smith likely will be the starting tailback, but the team views rookie DeShaun Foster as the long-term feature back."
Nice job dodging your mistake, but whatever. In any case, no I already stated that Foster's injury issues will probably prevent the team from riding him as much as they would like to. I believe that very inability will be what prompts them to aggressively pursue other options, however, as it's clear that Fox & Henning would like to depend on one and only one running back.

Correct. Does that mean I'm advocating his release? Hell, if you want to extrapolate far enough, you could state that doesn't mean he's going to be cut.

Which I doubt honestly that they'll cut him, at this point.

Yep, you're so whipping my ass by saying I'm a retard. Awesome - you just happen to be the judge of your own contest. Winnar!!!11

    :woohoo: lmao
Yep. That's why. It's not because you're clearly incapable of handling anger or any of that. I'm sure that's my fault, too.

Yep. It's obvious that Smith getting a DUI was in the long term plans of the Carolina Panthers. It was obvious they were going to cut him anyway, and stuff. Or not, which is why it's hilarious to see you flop all over yourself to call me a liar and a retard and anything else you can grandstand about.
Which, again, is the one quote out of four posted links that actually stated what you wanted them all to say. And which isn't what I asked in reference to "Where in that does it say "he's not viewed as anyting but a one year stopgap"?", conveniently.

So I think the next series of pissy comebacks should include you reposting the above quote yet again in reference to something I said, as if I hadn't acknowledged it, and as if I hadn't stated that the others didn't directly support your opinion. Odd thing about your "obvious consensus amongst every thinking man" - you can rarely back it with much thought from other people that actually say what you're saying they do.

I don't believe they'll do that with Foster here, and I don't believe they're at all looking to get rid of Foster. If they get rid of Foster, I believe they'll still have two backs they feel they can rely on.

Well, you do lie about what I've said and what you've said, but sure I have issues with my anger. I don't call everyone a coward, though. It's pretty much just you, probably because you're the biggest coward around.
involve me pointing out that you gloated when I hadn't yet provided a link, and now aren't admitting to your mistake when I provided a link saying exactly what I claimed? Or that you haven't provided any links of your own suggesting that Lamar Smith was viewed as a long-term answer for us? :imagestor

Wow. I'm so owned 'n stuff.
I don't lie. I might not say exactly what you try to set me up to say, but most people don't feel like they have to put together pissy tricks and insults to try to "win" something they're going to call their victory anyway.
    :woohoo:

And seriously, the only cowardly thing about any of this is you being completely, totally, and wholly encompassed by trying to slam someone uncontrollably because they say something you don't like, slapping "truth" on it, and then calling yourself a winner. Who are you trying to convince? Hell, you aren't even able to figure out what's fact and what's opinion.
I stated that you had exactly one link out of four that stated pretty much what you claimed. Good job agreeing with me on that, for the first time in the four posts I've stated that one did actually follow what you were stating all of them did. Since you're stating that I'm not admitting something I stated directly after you posted the links ("One article out of four represented what you stated it did."), and have stated numerous times since, doesn't that qualify you under your own rules as a liar? You seem totally unfazed by the idea that you couldn't put up four links that stated what you said they did, as well.

Sad thing about this thread, part 1:

    It's football.

Sad thing about this thread, part 2:

If I came out and agreed with the majority of what Collin was saying, I don't think Magnus would much care. Flip sidem, if I were to agree with the majority of what Magnus was saying, then Collin (within a matter of five minutes) would accuse me (as he has to others) of serving as some kind of cheerleader for Magnus. Chill out dude. You'd rather me be frank with you and tell it like it is, right? I would hope that you would not expect me/others to just bend over and take one in the rear b/c you have more time to break this shit down that the average joe. Don't get your BP up over "ONE BACK, OR TWO BACK!!!"

It's not all about what you know, but how you communicate it. Two words turned an otherwise pleasant discussion on L. White into Brokeback Rotogeek:

You both are splitting hairs, so from where I sit, no one is right, or wrong. But one thing is certain--Collin wanted to pick a fight here. And, again, Collin wins!!:woohoo::trophy::ylsuper:

PP has been following me around through various threads making insulting comments for a while now (without really doing much else), so his motives are a bit more than suspect at the moment. If someone like <name removed to protect the innocent> came along and agreed with magnus, I probably wouldn't think he was a cheerleader, just stupid.
Gah. I hate this post-modernist "we're all right" hippy love crap. I wish you and all your flower pals would move to Canada.

Eh, sorry. You just broke your own rule, re: opinions.

So, for the record, if I think it's a little exhausting (and gay) to spend upwards of seven hours of a Monday debating the merits of how many quality backs a team needs (which is a vague topic of horrific proportions), suddenly I am a Mountie, puffing the magic dragon?

My political leanings are of no relavence to the discussion at hand. Focus, my boy. You're owning this thread....go the distance, young man.
