    As much as I hate the bastard, B&B is likely correct. It'll take a turnover free game from Smith, establishing the run game, and playing outstanding defense.

    I was going to say Alex Smith played well, but then I looked at the numbers. 4.9 yards per attempt is pathetic for an NFL quarterback.

    As much of a fan of Alex Smith that I am, the Chiefs are not going to be successful with him having to throw 50 times in a game.

    I was thinking that at the time, but not in the terms of "historic".

    It reminded me of quite a few times McNabb and company dragged ass in the waning minutes, down by a score or two, including the SB, if I'm not mistaken.
