Gantt mentioned that in his blog today too...I hate all this trial and error stuff. I would prefer continuity, but the Bridges suspension, I guess forced their hand into this situation.

It really does not matter much. Bridges will take back the starting job at RG unless Kalil/Hangartner/some other dude, really plays well for the first two games.

they need to find something that works soon - unfortunately Hartwig out there didn't work out, and certainly looks like Hangartner hasn't - I don't think Kalil will, but if he's of the best 5, even if he's a little under powered, then I can handle him there.

We'll see anyway, but at some point we do need to just go with something that we have confidence in. Mathis or Walker even.

problem is, I think at this point Bridges is part of the "best 5" and their concerned they'll be going into week 1 without a solid unit.

Wharton, Wahle, Hartwig, ??, Gross has to be better than what we had at the end of last season.

I think you are right, the lineup the first game was obviously better.

I am like a lot here, in thinking they need to go with all where they are gonna be for the season, with a replacement for bridges for the first two games.

From what I understand, they've been shuffling O-linemen around since mini camp. Look at it this way, last year they had to do it in week 1 of the regular season and nobody was ready for it. At least this year they will have a good idea of what to do if injuries happen again.

Having said that, I'm fucking furious at Bridges for getting his dumbass in trouble right before camp.
