Good for him. The 17th pick. To the Wiz.

So...do you think he crapped his pants when he was drafted? A local guy like this gets to stay home and play with Mike for a year or two? I was hoping the Wiz would use that pick on him. I know there are those that will say the Wiz overpaid (I'd say technically they probably did), but I hope this works out. You cannot teach what this kid brings to the court.

Yea this pick was a total shock but I am so happy for that kid. I mean he was sitting in the stands. No way could he have though the local team would pick him. I was kind of pissed that Washington didn't trade both picks to get Caron Butler (my pick for rookie of the year...the next Paul Pierce...watch). He don't have to change his tags on his Escalade and everything (saw him at the car wash around the corner recently)...lol.

I applaud the Wizards for taking Dixon. Maybe it will make up the stoopid decision last year for passing on Battier.

Dixon will have no problem fitting in. He reminds me of Isiah Thomas. Not the tallest, or the fastest, but all heart and a lot tougher than he looks. And a super guy.
