How can you make statements like this as if they are facts? Are you saying this just from the youtube clips or did you have season Duck tickets? Did you ever have a thought that you didn`t put in a post?:singer:

Dang, if Stewart makes a splash as a KOR man and our primary back, that's a two-fer! That would minimize the loss of the fourth round pick when we traded back into the first round to get Otah. The middle rounds are we generally look for STs studs.

Also, if you read the one of those first blog responses, some dude posted that NFL experts on Sirius thinks we landed 4-5 potential starters out of this draft. That kicks ass outside of the fact we supposedly had solid drafts before and they have yet to materialize.

BTW, if everything is on schedule, Stewart's protective boot should be off by now and he should be do some light running.

if he's going to be a guy returning kicks, I do believe that DW will be getting the start, he'll be getting a lot of the 3rd down snaps, and Stewart will be the backup.

Which is fine, I'd expect the vet to start. Williams didn't start despite being the better back last year.

As for 4-5 starters? Maybe. If you consider two backs as starters, then definitely Stewart is one, and as a starter or backup his role would be similar so calling him a backup would be semantic. Godfrey's a starter, Otah's pretty much uncontested. I don't see us having room for other guys right now.

DW has been explosive since he got here. He has done it on the pro level. He averaged 5 yards per carry. Stewart might be a more powerful runner but he is not going to be as much of a big play threat as DW. Stewarts big plays on the college level in that spread offense does not compare.

You have no idea what Stewart will be like in order to make any sort of comparisons.
