Yep. Kerry Collins scored something like a 32, which is very good. Its just one tool which may provide a piece of the puzzle.

Even if Gamble was mentally retarded (and he's not), the question for me is can he learn things? I've heard him on Panther Talk. He sounded below average intelligence, but not horrible. He had obviously learned to use football coaching phrases in some context. His play has shown progress, unlike some of the other low scorers. I think he can learn.

That doesnt mean he learns fast. I sure would avoid putting him in a new situation that is likely to be pretty weird, and where the decision making is likely to involve a bunch of things.

    >>>"The reality is we're 0-2, so I'm not a very good coach right now. Whenever we lose, my decision-making process wasn't as good, and it is true in this case"<<<

Fox and his entire coaching staff have had two very bad games. ALL phases (with the exception of Kasay) have displayed the kind of inconsistancy and repeated errors that point back to square one . . . i.e. not very good coaching. If the majority of the problem was solely on the players then the majority of our players are too stupid to play the current regimes system.

OUR COACHING SUCKS ASS RIGHT NOW

Fonts were not big enough to turn the fan on for my video card. Gotta work on that rake...We need all phases operating correctly...

average for the position in 2005 was 19. In 2005, the last year the numbers were out there completely, 34 players scored a 13 or lower (within 4 of Gamble's), and 6 scored in single digits. Six in a year seems to suggest that it's not as if there's one player every 4-5 years that scores that low.

Either way, it might be slightly concerning, and certainly I'm not the biggest fan of his intellect, but I don't believe it caused anything an ordinary mistake in judgement wouldn't have and can't say it wasn't just a mistake.

edit - 2004's CB average was 18. There were 8 single digit 2004 scorers, and I caught around 40 scorers 13 or below.
