I can't use one. I need square cuts.

If you have never used a circular saw it would be best to have someone who knows how to operate one safely teach you. You can use a jig saw but the cuts are going to be UGLY.

Shirley Fro has run a circular saw before. If not have builder come over. If he don't know either he will not mind getting chewed up as he learns on the job ;)

Thanks Reb. I'm gonna think on it. I might just buy cabinets and have lowes cut a countertop for it. Shirely I can lay it on there and glue it or nail it or whatever.

ps: I knew it was a circular saw, but mtn people call it a circle saw.

Just draw a straight line where you want the cuts on the 2X4s and use a handsaw. It's not rocket science. :)

I've always called it a skilsaw...not sure why, but that's what I've always heard it called.

Call a handyman (with references) and give him the work instead of going to Lowes. Times are tough.

That's what it's called on the job. Nobody wants to say, " hey, hand me the circular saw." Never heard "circle saw", I must live on the other side of the mountains.

Makes sense...most of the folks I'm around and have heard it from are old construction guys.
