    Players in top ten (WR)
    1 Rice-HOF
    3 Harrison-waiting
    4 Carter-wont let him in
5 Tim Brown-wont let him in
6 TO-not yet eligable likely to find himself with Chris Carter looking in
    7 Isaac Bruce-not in
8 Hines Ward-not yet eligable-will get the love probably not on the first ballot
9 Moss- still playing/will have a hard time getting in
    10 Reed-outside looking in

(note: Tony Gonzalez is #2 but is a TE and therefore doesnt count.)

So how exactly would finishing top ten be construed as "nuff said"?

If he stays healthy and plays another four years then that will be enough to have the talking heads on Sportscenter be asked if he should make the Hall of Fame, where they'll unanimously say no.

It will take at least four years to reach the top 10, and even that won't matter. Being top 10 in yardage doesn't get you into the Hall of Fame when you're way down the list in touchdowns.

lolno. Henry Ellard was a beast. Might be the most underrated receiver.

    He has 59 career tds-jim brown is #10 all time w 126

    Notable wrs #9 Harrison 128, #8 Carter 131, #5 Moss 154(still playing), #4 TO 156, #1 Rice 208

Notice how the only HOF WR in either yards or TDs is the greatest to ever play the position? Just sayin....

3 Super Bowl wins, and even then it still took a massive public campaign to get him in because the overwhelming majority of voters thought he was undeserving.

I love how people are arguing over the future. I am a huge Smitty fan boy. And I know realistically that on the pace he is going, that he is very unlikely to make the HOF. However posting that he will not, like it is a fact, is also very wrong. No one know what the future can bring. The HOF may decide to start opening the floodgates to the other top wideouts that have been snubbed so far. Or hell, The Panthers could go on a huge tear and win the Superbowl 2 times in the next 4 years where Smitty wins the MVP.(I know this is not likely at all) But no one know what the future will bring, and posting that it will not happen like fact is just wrong IMHO. I am sure I will get blasted because normally I only ever read and not post. But this thread was really starting to bother me.

So, in retrospect, yeah it looks hard for WRs to get into the HOF.
