Why wouldn't you want your better pass rusher on the field more often? Teams sometimes pass on first and second down.

Because I don't want our team to have the 2006 colts D.

Not if you can't defend the run and like I said our main problem last year was rush from the ends. Thanks for clearing that up for me, BTW, teams can pass on downs that aren't third- I'm writing that shit down.

Jenkins is a bit different and he's not one to keep his mouth shut but the guy is a good football player and we're a lot weaker with him then without him. He's still easily worth what we're paying him and I don't see a lot of better options. Obviously Jenkins is the best DT we have or Lewis would have been starting last year. I'd rather have Jenkins and Lewis as the starter with Kemosucks allowing them to catch their breath on occasion.

Word is the jets are making a play for him....name Vilma is coming up in the talks- could he play WLB as well as played he MLB? Beason seems to have MLB locked down and was better there than at WLB.
Do we take the risk on his knee?
How much is too much at linebacker?
    How much is a handful?
    Is Vilma passionate?

Edit: Could Jenkins even play nose in a 3-4 he seems like he'd be better at end?

gotta think if its Vilma it'll involve 3 teams. I just don't see the need in him here. I like him as a player, but considering the players already at linebacker, he'd only be a slight upgrade, and give us overkill at LB.
