I like the fact that they are going all out to have a good running game. That has been the biggest thing lacking for this team since 2003. I do not really like the way they did it. They gave up too much to get Otah and they did not need another feature back to pair with DW. Since all that is done now though I hope they can run well next season. Two premier tailbacks should mean a fresh guy is in at all times. Going with a huge OL should result in some push up front so our guys are not constantly avoiding tackles in the backfield. We are going to need a good run game to hold leads because our pass rush is weak and teams will be able to come back on us.

you can't say they're being conservative. Generally speaking, the people who've wanted them gone since Beason's holdout or before still do, but they went outside the box.

Yes, too much cost. If you had to pair two players together in the middle of the first, those are your two, though. They felt very strongly about it.

I just hope Otah works out. If he doesn't pan out it's going to be a big setback. But Fox or Hurney won't have to worry about that I guess. I STILL hate giving that 2009 #1 up....

If that pick is in the mid twenties or higher then it is a lot easier to take losing it. If we have another mediocre or worse season then it will really hurt but then again we will have a new coach to get excited about.....

I would really have rather taken Otah at 13 and then get a back for depth in free agency or later in the draft. DW is a good back and I doubt having Stewart will add a lot more than we would have gotten from starting DW and using Toefield and some other back to spell him.
