Jeff Lewis Signs with Saints

I'm not going to lie. I feel he's a good QB, otherwise I wouldn't have put the backing on him that I did. I don't feel that last year was the best situation for any QB, much less one who needs an emotional boost or a good supporting cast. I supported the decision to let him go and bench him even though Weinke needed some bench time, but I still think he's got a lot of potential.

I want him to do well. I just don't want him to do well against us. If it were my choice I'd have put him in Green Bay, where anyone can succeed as a backup and not have to worry about playing.

I can't believe it took this long for him to land somewhere. I was thought he may get a shot at Buffalo, Houston or even Washington.

If I may, I agree 100%. I believe he has a chance...

I don't think so. He's a head case that gets brain freeze when the sceniaro changes to rapidly for him. He was ok in college but essentially a terry hanraty type of pro.

Decent arm, good mobility, mechanics OK except for the 2 pump.

But if his problem isn't rust and confidence, it's vision. And if it's vision, then he can't get it done game speed.
