    How does retiring effect our cap since chances are he'd be cut anyway

    I don't think it changes next year's cap count for him, cut or retire.

    He had no future count against us, except what ever his salary would be next year if he played.

    Yeah was think that when he got trades to us all the signing bonus would have come due on the books then. So all future money owed (cap wise) has already been paid.

    He's under contract for $8 million next year, so that's 8 million to spend elsewhere
