Jared Allen to Vikings

I was just going to mention that if the Chiefs had 100 picks they would miss on 99 of them. So, the bottom line is that in reality, the Chiefs suck at the draft which is why they suck.

And this from a Chiefs fan. Any team with 4 decades of heart brake with no hardware has a story. The Chiefs story at least for the past decade or so is that their GM Carl Peterson has a track record of missing more than hitting much more so than Fox/Hurney.

Most Chiefs fan's have resigned themselves to sucking in the draft and on the field. Even in the good years when they go 13-3 we know what happens in late December and January, we are becoming or have become the Bungles.

I guess if you look at the track records of both teams in the draft i could see it the other way around. Minn have wiffed quite a bit on their picks, Williamson, James and Udeze most recently. So i can understand the Viks being happy they got a proven player this year for their #1 pick. But the DUI's really bother me, 1 time you can forgive but 2 or 3. And moving to Minn, the DUI capital of the world. It doesnt bode well at all. I wouldnt have invested that much in a guy who isnt smart enough to know when he shouldnt be behind the wheel. Now he's gonna have even more cash to party. This just stinks of an "I told you so" in 6 months time.

Just looking at our past history of DUI guys here in Carolina and it just looks like bad news in the future for Minn.

 

My co-worker the psychic says that the Jared Allen trade will benefit the Vikings WAY more than the Chiefs because KC will pick a bust with their extra 1st round pick.

Just sayin'.

 

Probably true. Would be a great trade for KC if they actually hit on their picks. But past evidence shows that doesn't happen these days. If the Vikings actually had a QB I could see them winning the NFC. But with Jackson
QB'ing the team.. no way.

 

While that may me true, all that does is make excuses for both franchises having shitty scouting departments and decision makers. All it really does is compound the problems and its sad that fans are forced to accept that kind of ineptitude.

 

I would rather have the picks than the player in this case. Of course picks are only as good as the manner in which you use them.

 

Allen got two for sure and I'm guessing the third was awhile ago. I got the three from Wikipedia, so take it for what its worth. Didn't mean to insinuate that you disagreed with his pay.
