Looking at ESPN stats, they have him listed as the second rated passer in the NFC with a 92 rating. That just seems a bit odd to me, I don't get the feeling he is the second best passer. Is it just a down year for NFC quarterbacks or what?

if he'd cut out the turnovers he's got the numbers to be an MVP candidate. That's really what hurt him this year... stupid mistakes.

all the NFC North starting QB's have each thrown 5 int's in a single game this year. Favre had 5 yesterday(six if you count the drunk fan). that has to help Jake a little...

It didn't hurt that Jake had a rating of 141 and change yesterday. So I guess that means he's a little better than a "complete fuktard", or whatever, that a certain someone claims he is- being the only poster here who actually knows football and all.

"everyone knows that Jake makes a lot of stupid throws... a lot more than almost any other QB" - Collin

    The updated numbers

Jake Delhomme is no Brett Favre...

    Repeat after me

    STATS

    ARE

    FOR

    LOSERS

ESPN making money off people worrying about stupid shit. Want stats, go to a baseball game. They got plenty. Football is all about who goes to the post season. Jake could have a 50 passer rating and I would not care if were were 5-2.

And if we lost to each of those teams, they would be better hence our schedule would be a little harder. Catch 22 in that each time you beat somebody, it makes them suck a little more and therefore degrades thier overall value as a competitor.

...and yet the ranking still passes the smell test when you look at it. You are right of course but you're forgetting that it affects EVERYONE the same way thus bringing it into balance.

If Jake ever learns when to gamble and when not to he could be really good. Take away the dumb picks and he is right up there and we are probably undefeated.
