His four worst games of his career have been in the last 14 games. 3 in the last 6. That's a decline.

He's on pace to throw 32 INTs this year.

I always figured he'd end his career with an injury, or just getting old and retiring. I would not have called a massive case of persistent suck leading to his dismissal.

He once had the ability to counter bad plays with awesome plays. That's why he was untouchable for so long. Now it's just all bad and very little good.

The WR's do not suck, y2b. Stop it.

"He once had the ability to counter bad plays with his receivers occasionally making acrobatic catches between 2 defenders and bailing Jake out."

    Fixed.

Sometimes a case of persistent suck is the symptem of getting old. He's 34, coming off major arm surgery.

He's never had good mechanics, a rhythem thrower, never the most consistent guy. But he did used to make more plays against pressure. There was more good than bad.

He's still trying to make plays in those same situations, but he can't. I think he's gotten old.

    Its all very depressing.

But it should reinforce the belief that we can win with less. It seems were winning in spite of Jake and after that last drive against TB, maybe they finally realised it too.

Just cant help get the feeling the staff is stuck in 03. We seem to have the same problems as always.

Its baffling to think Jake has been the most talented QB brought into camp after all these years.

And while King and Rosario are serviceable, im sure im not the only one wishing it was us that made the Gonzalez deal. Hell, weve been pissing away 2nd rounders for years and it seems weve done it again. (Why the hell did we pass on Sean Smith from UTAH, that school has been good to us)

And weve had just as much problems finding another WR for even longer. Draft picks, trades, nothing seems to have worked out. Smitty was a Seifert pick wasnt he? That just labels the point.

We got some talent that they drafted. Otah, Gross, Williams, Stewart, Kalil, Peppers, Beason, Davis, to name a few. Gamble, Marshall, and Godfrey deserve a mention.

No QB talent, though. I'll say I think they did not pursue QB talent because they 'found their guy'.

In fairness - that ain't easy. Look around the league. Qb is the team, alot of times. Ours is broken. That is THE HARDEST problem to fix, in my opinion. I think they've been hoping he'd bounce back.
