    You're right...I always blame Jake for everything.

    I said Weinke was a better passer of the ball. He was. He couldn't move his legs for shit, nor could he motivate the team...but he threw a better ball than Jake.

    Jake is not better than Pamler or Manning, but that's not the issue. You're blaming Jake for Colbert and Carter's drops. You can blame the receivers or Richard Williamson, but not the QB. Does Jake make it harder sometimes? Sure. However, it's not his fault when the ball repels off of Colbert's numbers, and that's what happened on Sunday.

    You are NOT objective in your opinion of Jake....just admit that and we'll move on. You are a very knowledgable football guy, I have sought out your opinion on FF team starts among other things, but you are partial when it comes to Jake. Nothing wrong with it, I'm partial to Dan Marino, but don't pretend you are not.

    Yep, that would explain why we were direct snapping the ball to a damn RB on third downs (not just 3rd and short either) while "Better Ball" Weinke stood on the sideline sipping Gatorade.

    He did have a problem looking to one side....but that's not (and wasn't then) my point. My point is that Jake's mechanics and arm-strength is not that good and that's what makes him prone to problems. When we have to rely on the QB to carry the load passing the ball, as all teams do at some point, Jake can't do it. All I'm saying.

    (Or Dan Marino) I agree. It's not just about passing the ball. But sometimes it is, and Jake can't carry us through those times.

    Which takes us back to my original point. Sure some of those balls were perfectly good balls and should have been caught....but it just seems to be a pattern here.

    And it's a very fair statement to say that some of the balls that WERE caught probably shouldn't have been.
