I saw 87 suited on the sidelines in one camera shot, but if he hit the field I don't know about it.

Maybe this is true for all teams, but whenever we lose, we lose in the clumsiest of ways. We invent ways to lose games, unneccesarily.

Jake played his ass off behind shitty protection. It was a shitty play call on 2nd and 9 after the 2 minute warning. We were moving the ball with high percentage plays on that drive, and suddenly we go back inside, into the teeth of the defense. Just like last year at home against Atlanta (Mathis). Just like 2003 against Atlanta (Mathis, again.) Well, add Lance Schulters to the list of players who take advantage of shitty situational playcalling by Dan Henning.

Gardner was out there. And he HAS to start this next game. THere cant be any more excuses why he isnt.

Colbert got some flags....got some first downs....but he hasnt shown why the hell he is still playing out tthere with some of the guys we have behind them. More stubborn coaching, I guess.

Gardner was active, but didn't play.

At least give Gardner some playing time next week. Shit, I have been thinking that Colbert would step up for three weeks now, but he's had rainchecks on our first three games.
Kneejerk? Nah. I just think that after three games as the #2 receiver, your production chart should be considerably higher than Colbert's is.
Hell, at this point, I would even like to see what Carter has in him.

Every team that we play KNOWS that he is going to target Smith first. We simply got lucky today because Miami has some shitty corners who got busted with penalties (when Jake went for Colbert). Against a better defense, we lose by double-digints.

It's really funny when you think about it in the Superbowl we score the last
FG to quickly allowing NE to get the field on a short kickoff. Couple of other games I've noticed we score to quickly in the final few minutes. We were having sucess running and only needed some yardage and the game was ours. I have noticed that Fox and company run the same game plan for every team we face. And right now we are not strong enough to ram it down an opponents throat. Right now the coaching staff needs to be thinking outside the box.

This is interesting. Is it just me, or does SD seem slow? He doesn't seem to hit the hole with as much pop, provided he isn't near the goalline. I wonder what Foster would do with all those carries?

I don't know that we want to play that game over and over again. Davis looked like the better back a number of times, Foster looked better this week and last. Different games, they might reverse roles somewhat, and you ride the hot hand, but Foster had no more luck inside than did Davis.

Agreed, Keith Traylor is the prototype 2 gap DT, and he just man-handled our interior. So you adjust an run to the edges, which is not SD's strength. But not fumbling is not Foster's strength either, so could be a toss-up.

    Fixed, BTW

    I don't recall a Foster fumble in a regular season game in a good 2 years :)
