atlanta ranked 27th against the pass... I have seen Delhomme & Smith on the sidelines complaining about play calls... Maybe Fox suggested to Davidson to let him call the plays.

I think it's more that the team has had audibles for two years (at best Jake had the run/pass thing from Henning) and it's been largely gone this year for whatever reason. I think the no huddle is a strongly prepared well coached part of our team that we couldn't do without our OC.

I've been furious about our unwillingness to change plays at the line, so I'm glad we did some of that, but I hope we're not going to give Jake too much freedom from here on.

Its a great way to attack teams who stack the box. The only reason Jake is still QB is his experience. Might as well let him use it especially against teams he knows well. Jake didn't miss checking run/pass much yesterday. It seemed like every time the safety dropped we ran and when he crashed down we passed. They picked something up from the first game that tipped it off I think.

I think Jake got screwed up from the playoff loss and the new QB coach. He has played much better the last three games. It may be that he knew what he was doing was not going to work and decided to go back to his old ways. If so we need to fire the QB coach or at least not let him talk to Jake.

We talked about it two weeks ago. I am not sure it was ever confirmed by anyone that they had told Jake to ignore Rip. Whatever change happened around that time has been substantial. If Jake plays all year the way he has the last three games we probably have two more wins at least.

They never said ignore, just to stop trying to fuck with his mechanics.

Billick mentioned it during the game.

    Didn't use this much.

I don't care about the INT, but he wasn't efficient and we were horrible on third down. Maybe if the D hadn't been so shitty too we could've won. Can't do both.

    This one was winnable.
