On Countdown the crew was predictably gushing about DVD (Dunn-Vick-Duckett), but mentioned that they'd be without one of the Ds tonight (Duckett). I was hoping Stuart Scott was going to say that left with them with "VD," but he said "DV" instead. It was set up perfectly for him, but I guess that's too racy for ESPN, and plus they have their head up Vick's ass anyway. I laughed regardless.

    stink, stink, stink :(

They looked like a good team coming into the year, especially on defense. Pennington being out hurt them a lot. And as old and hobbled as Vinny is, he didn't lose by himself. Their offensive line pretty much let the Falcons tee off.

Not really related, but I was thinking today about how the Packers are going through exactly what we did last season. They've lost their #1 and #2 RBs, their star WR, and some defensive guys.

i was thinking about that too. they're hurting. other thing i was thinking watching the jets game is how fucked we'd be without mitchell - as much as we're complaining about his lack of 'juice.'

Also lost key OL. Now if their punter gets a DUI, they lose their PR and KR, couple more RB's, their LB coach gets cancer......... nah, that would never happen.

Stu's a Panthers fan but he can't come out and blatantly support us on tv; but of course, he has to toe the company line and praise Ronnie and kiss his ass like all the other VSPN people.

Take away his running ability and he is the worst starting QB in the league. I wish he would get hurt a little where he had to wear a brace or something and therefore had to stay in the pocket.

As noted, I'm as sick of the hype as everyone else, but that doesn't mean he actually isn't an incredible playmaker. Talking about taking away his running ability isn't valid because he has it. I do think he should have gotten more crap about keeping the Jets in the game last night with his 3 interceptions, though.
