It's not "the three step drop"

nobody (that I can think of) is complaining cause "one little thing isn't right" the defense is way off and needs to be fixed, too much talent on hand for it to be this bad, somebody has to be held accountable for that and some fans are gonna bitch about it.

That and Fox copped out last week and started making excuses. excuses that were definitively proved wrong today.

 

pretty much sums up why I haven't been in chat or logged into TBR during any games this year. I'd much rather sit back and relax and enjoy the game rather than listen to a handful of armchair QBs and coaches who think they know everything.

 

I do think, literally, there was a lot of bitching about things that could happen, or small things. A missed tackle? A burnt Gamble? Fuck yeah. Pisses me off. Coach isn't jumping up and down? No. That's stupid. "Didn't get pressure that down" when we covered each of their guys and the QB had to throw it away? That's not rational bitching. That's a good play.


And that's part of it. People more fucking worried about the "told you so"s and "Collin doesn't know what he's talking about" than the game.

 

Im not sure about some things. What do you mean by giving, more than getting? Giving what, and getting what?

Dont worry about what someone thinks on a message board. Youre one of the more knowlegable fellows on this board, so you should be perfectly content with what you believe, and it shouldnt matter of anyone agrees or disagrees. I agree with lots of what you say, and simply disagree with the defense mostly. Not all, but on a few key things. I know I dont give a scoop of shit what anyone thinks about me here. I can imagine for the most part, I am resented on a few levels, and not likes on others. Or most just dont think two shits either. Its cool. BUt Im content with what I believe, and for the most part, my track record is good. But I know I can be sore a lot, and I know it gets intense at times. But Ive never started anything. Im nice as can be, even when Im mad. Im cordial to fans, until they tell me to shut up.


Someone told them theyre wrong and they have to make them pay? I hope like heck youre not talking about me. I certainly dont do that on purpose. Heh....I would even say you rib about it on chat. Anytime a blitz was burned, you chimed in. Anytime a blitz was ineffective, you let it be known. I take it as good nature, though. Oh well. It sucks you cant enjoy the games anymore. But Im sure youll always have fans bitching and being irrational. Cant see that ever changing.

Shit certainly does get to be the buzz, and Im realizing that with a busy message board. THe "getting pressure" has become a bit of a movement. The three step drop thing just got silly, hence the name of this post. THe media is guilty of sparking so much of it. And yeah, some fans latch onto something, and dont let go. Fuck that, who cares?

Its not just Panther fans though....look at Gruden. Someone I have thought to be an elite coach for a long time. THe media around that place was crucifying him, and even his own asshole players were making statements about him. Now hes as good as gold. Now hes a good coach again. It comes with the masses. BUt sometimes we arent playing well. Sometimes there is cause to be unhappy.

Im not a good person to take it from though. Ive always said football doesnt make me happy. It sounds unhealthy, but its cliche for me now, but the thing is, but after a loss, Im upset, but after a win, I just wipe sweat off my brow and look to next week.

Past that, yeah, I'm somehwhat giving you shit about the blitz. Blitz does not equal success. Blitz does not equal intensity. It's a great thing, when we do it right. What sucks is it seems like any defensive play that wasn't an INT or fumble, people bitched about how we didn't get pressure, whether we did or didn't. It's old, thinking that blitz = greatness and here's who we blame if we don't. At this point, I'm ready to enjoy the game more with beer and a recliner and not having to be in a room with a computer.
