    I think the worst thing is simply assuming it was likely we could slip.
    There's obviously a lack of focus on this team right now, and the biggest spark (the Mills/Fields thing) isn't there. Delhomme isn't shiny and new anymore, and the team itself obviously fucked up with the OL and, quite possibly, the DL depth, though honestly I don't know what we could've done. We had guys who stepped up that are young, and we brought in vets who couldn't make the squad. I hate to think that we have to have wall to wall vet depth just to not suck.

    add that to schedule and three offensive players of top caliber being hurt, and it happens. But the disappointing thing is the focus. It's like you get there, so you don't care anymore. Fuck that, live every snap like it's your life.

    yep. we talked about this in the offseason -- it's what got the bucs in trouble. and they STILL haven't gotten over their super bowl hangover. all hail bellichek.
