It's Ohio. This time of year where OoS is from, the doctors double as tax accountants. I'm sure he knows his job, but was simply distracted.

Please work on your reading comprehension.

No one talked to the doctor except my dad. My dad can't remember what it was called but said it started with an S. When my sister called the doctors office to find out what it was she got nurse who said the record was being typed up so she couldn't read it to say what it was.

PS - my dad's taxes will be available for pick up tomorrow too.

Could be strep or Staph infections. Bacteria will find the weakest area and beging colonizing.

Cellulitis would actually be my guess though. Usually very red, inflamed areas and the blood flow to the foot will be reduced which may eventually lead to gangrene in the toes or higher and needed amputation.

Are you in the medical profession or did you stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night?

I would recommend sending someone to the doctor with your 84 year old father. He clearly is not capable of taking care of himself.

That would include having the doctor explain to the aforementioned person exactly what the diagnosis and treatment is so you can avoid having to start medical guessing games on a message board.

Furthermore, you should have asked to speak to the office manager and ask her to have the doctor review his dictation and notes and call you back after hours. They would have.

    You're so very welcome.

First, he went before any of us kids knew there was an issue or someone would have been there.
Second, my sister called not me so I wasn't the one to talk to anyone.
Third, I know his doctor well (I just spoke with him last week) so I am confident Dad is getting good care which means a lot otherwise I would be calling every hour till I knew.
Fourth - thanks for not being a total dick outside of R&R.
