Carr is not looking good, but Vinny and Jake are pretty much interchangeable in this offense, so if Vinny can go the season, we finish where we would have with Jake.....window closed before we started the season. This team had holes from the start, and the draft didn't make us better.

Vinny is not as good as Jake. Jake had 8 TDs and 1 pick when he went down. Vinny has not come close to that kind of production.

Vinny brings the same ability to the table as Jake, is what I mean. Neither are going to run alot, they are game management QB's. The expectation is they'll manage the game.

When Jake was in there we beat two terrible teams in St. Louis and Atlanta, while getting blown out by Houston 34-21 (and remember that Delhomme's second TD in that game came after a Texans turnover gave us the ball at their 13 yard line, while the third was all Steve Smith).
You are so stupid that I worry your posts could somehow give me brain cancer.

I don't think the title of team president was significant to Polian's decision. The Colts just offered him a lot of money and he could see that the roster he constructed for us was about to fall apart.

Actually that was incredibly dumb. Polian traded Marshall Faulk for a 2nd round pick. Marshall Faulk, who went on to set NFL single season touchdown and yardage records for St. Louis (the yardage record still stands). Had Polian not done that, they could have drafted Champ Bailey or Torry Holt instead. If they hadn't lucked into the Super Bowl last year, Polian, Dungy, and Manning would all be looked on as good but not good enough.
I despise Belichick, but that's not even close to true.

Great googly moogly, just shut the fuck up. Everyone knows that you hate Jake Delhomme, so no one needs to be reminded of that.

That is true in a way but Jake has much more big play ability. He can get the ball to Smith better than Vinny can.

His QB rating was over 100. He was playing very well whether you want to admit it or not.

Your posts are so arrogant I am afraid I might get pompous ass cancer from reading them.

I don't think anybody is arguing that he played very well against some crap teams.

Dude, that's some funny stuff there.

I'm not knocking on Jake, dikhed. The question was, "Is the window closed"..... I say it was closed before the season started, and I point out parralels between Jake and Vinny, to illustrate why I believe this. They are very much the same kinda QB, except Vinny is 43. It ain't Jake's fault...it ain't Vinny's fault. We are just not very good right now.

And, for a fuckin loud-mouthed windbag who is clearly his own biggest fan, you telling someone to shut the fuck up is like Micheal Jackson giving parenting tips!!

Answer honestly. Would you rather be an arrogant ass or a complete moron?

    GH:
You were clearly looking to dig at Jake by suggesting that Vinny is interchangeable. They are not. Testaverde has played better than I imagined he would, but Delhomme is clearly better.

Don't assume you know what I am "looking" to do. I actually agree with you.....our offense is designed so that the QB job is to avoid mistakes and convert 3rd downs. I like Vinny and I think he's as capable of filling that role as anybody. I think , when the defense and ST are hitting on all eight cylinders, a number of QB's are 'interchangeable', in that they could fill that role just fine. But right now....we aren't even hitting on 4 cylinders.

    I don't hate Jake...never have.
